Harvest Clever with the Fendt C Series Combine
September is upon us and harvest is here! During this busy time, the need for reliable, and efficient machinery is greater than ever. Thankfully, Fendt have it covered with their clever C-series combine!
Fendt claim their upper mid-horse power C-series allows customers to ‘harvest intelligently’ with the ultimate in efficiency, leading technologies and flexibility. Our team at Reekie agree as this model has proven to be a customer favourite.
Fendt have packed the C-series with premium features including automated steering with VarioGuide, a 6-row straw chopper and yield and moisture measuring, just to name a few.
Clever Cab
Fendt innovation begins with the C-Series cab which prioritises spaciousness, comfort and all-round visibility.
Similar to other Fendt combines, the C-Series is equipped with the latest generation of comfort seats complete with a cooling compartment. The cab has also air suspension as standard, a 3-way adjustable steering column, laminated glass technology for low noise level and a comprehensive lighting concept for good working conditions at night.
Referred to as the ‘Skyline Cab’ due to its fantastic visibility, users have an unobscured view to the table, stubble, unloading auger. This is thanks to large electrically adjustable mirrors and the standard camera function in the Varioterminal 10.4”, which also provides a good view towards the rear.
Similar to the Fendt tractor line, the C-Series combine has a VariotronicTI armrest. The armrest has a multi-function joystick located in the front area and contains all the operating elements required for controlling key parts of the combine during harvest. The armrest can be adjusted in height and length, so that you can find the ideal seating position.
Moreover, the C-Series can be fitted with optional VarioGuide, which uses the latest technologies to guide your machine precisely through the crops, resulting in higher threshing performance. The clever combine can also be fitted with optional AgCommand™ telemetry system to inform you of the where abouts of your machines when they are in operation- an ideal option for fleet management.

Top Tables
Fendt owners have the choice of two tables for the C-Series combine. The first is the FreeFlow table, which is available in working widths from 4.80m to 7.60m. The components are bolted on making the C-Series table especially stable and maintenance-friendly. What’s more, this combine ensures a clean cut with a low power requirement thanks to the high speed of the cutterbar with 1,254 cuts per minute!
To complement the cutterbar, the intake auger has a diameter of 610mm and moves the crop swiftly and uniformly to the crop elevator, providing ideal conditions for maximum area coverage and the best harvesting results.
The second option of the Fendt PowerFlow table is known for its maximum productivity. The big clearance between the cutterbar and auger facilitates cutting high crops. The Powerflow belts then transport the crop directly under the auger to guarantee uniform, heads-first feed for all types of crops. As a result, this table also offers the best threshing performance and an extremely efficient throughput.
Users can also keep grain maize under control with Fendt CornFlowTM maize headers to harvest grain maize efficiently without losses. Fendt CornFlowTM headers are available with either six or eight rows. The row spacing is either 70 or 75 cm.

Efficient Threshing Systems
The C-Series is fitted with a heavy, high inertia threshing cylinder. The weight of the previous cylinder has been increased by 8 bars, which are attached between the rasp bars. The large inertia then ensures smooth and uniform running and significantly reduces the load on the drives and power requirement.
The C-Series concave features differentiated wire clearance with a back-section concave twice as big as the front. This arrangement allows for an optimal ratio between good threshing capacity and high separation capacity. Users can also adjust the concave independently.
In addition, the Multi Crop Separator (MCS) Plus can separate as much grain as possible before the crop even reaches the straw walkers. What is also special about the MCS Plus is that the separator concave can be swung up over the rotary separator. An electric motor brings the concave into the desired position.
The long straw walkers on the C-Series each have 4 steps with ‘active back walls’, which allows even the last grain to be separated efficiently. It is worth noting that the need for a 6-row straw chopper has also been specially developed for conservation soil tillage and Fendt users can choose with only one hand movement whether to swath or chop.
Fendt understand that the quality of your grain determines your profit and several features have been developed to make this a priority. Such features include a shaker sole with high capacity sieves, a 9000 litre filling capacity tank with an unloading speed of 105 litres per second and optimum in-field and on road modes with the ParaLevel system.
