The new Fendt 900 Vario promises to deliver ground-breaking solutions for everyday challenges so get ready for more efficiency, versatility, safety, comfort and intelligence!
Fendt have finally pulled the covers off their new and improved 900 series range of wheeled tractors, including the monster 942 model with 415hp, seeing the 900 series venture beyond the 400hp landmark for the first time.
The upgraded 296 to 415hp, 5 model range sees Fendt target large farmers and contractors worldwide with more versatile solutions, an extensive technical connectivity package and low weight. Ideal for heavy PTO work, we think the new series will certainly meet the needs of our customers in Fife and Perthshire.
New powertrain and low fuel consumption are promised in the 900 series as all models are equipped with an all-new Emissions Stage V compliant, MAN 6 cylinder engine designed specifically for Fendt with a cubic capacity of 9 litres. What’s more, the change interval for the M3677 engine oil has gone up to an unprecedented 1,000 hours. The Fendt VarioDrive powertrain builds up together with the perfectly aligned TA 300 Vario transmission.
In addition, the Fendt iD low speed concept has been introduced to the 900 series for the first time. The Fendt 900 Vario reaches a top speed of 60 km/h at a fuel-saving 1,450 rpm.
To complement this, the torque is distributed dynamically over the front and rear axle to avoid tension on the road and allow for a small turning circle.
The new 900-series also boasts many technological advancements will full connectivity inside and outside the cab thanks to the Fendt Connect and Smart Connect systems.
The Fendt Connect central telemetry system allows machine users control of their machine data and access to dealer’s services. It reads, stores and evaluates machine data to help users manage their fleet and optimise settings.
Smart Connect is a service for the operator and connects an iPad to the Fendt 900 Vario via the machine’s WiFi. Parameters, such as the tractor position, worked area, fuel consumption and engine load, are sent straight to the iPad during use.
Fendt have certainly pulled out all the stops to continue the success story of their 900 series tractors that began at Agritechnica 1995. Now over 20 years later, the agricultural giants are still delivering on their mission to allow farmers and contractors to reach their goals faster and with a higher yield.
