He started out as a Junior in our then Car Parts Department and was to become involved in the Agricultural side of our business when our two separate Parts Departments merged into one in the late 80s. Bob then went on to become our Parts Manager and has served our Company well for 46 years (retiring to the exact day he started in April of 75).

Bryce Smith, Director at Lanark, shares, ‘I’ve worked with Bob for all of my 45 years with our Company. When Bob was young, he had a big head of curly hair which was the envy of all female staff in the Company – alas the years have not been kind to him in that regard!’

All jokes aside, Bryce shares ‘He has been a loyal and dependable member of staff for all that time and the Company are indebted to him for all his past service.’

Due to current restrictions, we are not able to have our customary retiral party but nevertheless all his friends at Ross of Lanark and the Hamilton Ross Group would like to take the opportunity of wishing both Bob and Linda a long, healthy, and happy retirement together.
