A Very Valtra Valentine’s with Reekie!

This Valentine’s we swapped flowers and chocolates for a customer trip to the Valtra factory, situated right in the heart of the Finnish forest.

Six lucky Hamilton Ross Group customers were given the opportunity to accompany Reekie Ltds Area Sales Manager, Rory McKendrick for a private tour of the Valtra Suolahti factory from 15th to 17th February to find out more about the latest addition to the Reekie portfoilio. 

Each year Valtra manufacture 24,000 individually tailored tractors at their state-of-the-art factories in Finland and Brazil to sell in over 75 countries around the world. During the private tour of Finnish factory, Suolahti customers and staff were given an exclusive insight into the manufacturing of a Valtra tractor, witnessing all stages of production from start to finish. Plus, the team got a sneak peak at the specialist unit for creating bespoke tractors to exact customer needs.

Rory McKendrick said: “The trip was a roaring success and both the customers and staff were amazed! We were all very impressed by the factory. It was fascinating to follow the production line and see the attention to detail Valtra put into the design of each tractor!”

After the tour, it was time to travel Nordic Style and the group embraced the challenge of navigating their way through the Finnish landscape on snowmobiles. Recovering from this snowmobile experience adrenaline rush, the group then had time to relax in the sauna, hot tubs and lake ice hole (brrr!) before retuning back to Scotland.
