This week our team at Hamilton Brothers are busy making preparations to take the high road to Arisaig on Friday for the “Road to the Isles Show” on Saturday 8thJune which will be their first of eight West Coast Agricultural Shows this season.
As we emerge from one of the coldest and wettest winters on record, the boys will be bringing along the very latest rush and bracken clearing machinery and they will be on hand to offer advice to farmers on how best to tackle the rush and bracken infestation which is wreaking havoc in grazing pastures due to the adverse weather conditions.
“Normally by now we have organised a Rush & Bracken Clearing Demonstration Day for our farming customers to keep them abreast of new techniques,” says Ted McDonald, our resident rush and bracken clearing expert! “Unfortunately this hasn’t been possible as the growing cycle has suffered serious setbacks as a result of the colder than average temperatures.”
At the Shows, you will be able to see the robust and hugely effective Logic Contact 2000 Weed Wiper and the Logic Flail Mower and Sprayer with a 60 litre tank, hand lance and spray boom. We won’t be able to demonstrate the machine actually working at the Shows, but if you talk to Ted he will be more than happy to organise a demonstration at your farm in the near future.
Other attractions on the stand will be a Kubota RTV 900 utility vehicle and a Kubota ‘M’ Series tractor which we reckon is one of the most versatile mid-sized tractors on the market.
It looks like the temperatures are set to rise this week, so fingers crossed that the sun will be shining in Arisaig on Saturday! We look forward to seeing you soon.
