Health and Safety on any construction site is first and foremost these days, and rightly so. Conducting any excavation is a hazardous task as even shallow trenches can cause injury if they are not properly planned and policed.
With this in mind, Hamilton Brothers will be showcasing the trailblazing Remote Controlled RT Series Vibratory Trench Rollers from Wacker Neuson at ScotPlant 2014 as these machines take Health & Safety issues to a new level!
Diesel driven, the RT Series Trench Rollers are tailor made for the compaction of cohesive soils during excavations and sub bases of foundations, roads and parking lots. The remote control system uses infrared technology for optimum safety as the machine is instantaneously disabled when the line of sight between operator and device is lost or when the machine comes within 2 metres of the user.
Rollers are available in two interchangeable drum widths (56cms or 82cms) which are perfect for standard 24” or 36” trenches and the heavy duty articulated joint allows the roller to manoeuvre in tight spaces without tearing up ground that has already been compacted. Other major benefits include economy as the lower end of the trench roller is completely maintenance free thanks to the self-lubricating design of the drive and exciter. Also, the wide opening hoods and hydraulic system has also been designed for easy access and service.
