The countdown has begun and the tension is palpable at each of the four Hamilton Brothers depots across West and Central Scotland. The question is – can these magnificent men bring the ultimate Stockman machine to Ayr Racecourse in time to provide the sensational Tractor Factor at the County Show? As one of Scotland’s leading suppliers of agricultural machinery, the super sleuths have detected that the first shiny new 5400 series Massey Ferguson tractor off the production line is showcasing at the Balmoral Show in Belfast, Ireland until late in the evening of Friday 13th May.
“I’m so determined to be the first to bring this fantastic tractor to Scotland,” says Tarbolton Depot Manager George Harvie “that I’ve come up with a cunning plan to travel to Ireland myself that day, snatch the machine off the stand and make the return journey on the overnight ferry!”
If George’s masterplan fails, there will of course be plenty of other attractions in the Hamilton Brothers marquee on Stand H121 including an impressive range of Massey tractors, JCB material handlers, Lely mowing and baling equipment, Wacker Neuson excavators, Kubota RTV900 utility vehicles, a host of lawn mowers and ride-on tractors and a power tool demonstration from Milwaukee, including the combi drill that made them famous!
