First Wacker Neuson introduce the cabbed dumper, which has greatly improved safety standards for many businesses. Now they revolutionise safety standards once again by developing dual view for their range of six to ten-ton dumpers.
Dual view offers unrestricted visibility in any situation because it allows the operator to turn the seat and control panel of the dumper by 180 degrees, thereby determining the direction of view and travel. This development will allow operators a perfect view during transport loading and dumping, not only improving safety for but also cost effectiveness!
Alexander Greschner, Sales Executive of Wacker Neuson SE, said: “With our new dual view concept for wheel dumpers, we have completely redefined the topic of safety in this segment. Together with customers from a variety of markets, we were able to develop a solution that is easy to handle and at the same time has a big effect. We are already please about the high level of orders on hand even before the official product launch.”
Wave goodbye to time consuming turning and manoeuvring! The dual view rotating is easily managed from the operator’s seat using a single handle to unlock the seat console and then rotate the console.
In addition to making reversing safer, dual view also allows users to spin round the drive with the dumper behind them instead of in front when the bucket is fully loaded.
Moreover, in order to keep the environment around the bucket in view, a rear-view camera (in a protected frame) is installed by default. An optional front-view camera completes the package. Both cameras and the display meet the highest protection class rating IP69 with dustproof and water protection making them ideal for use in the harsh conditions of a construction site.
The new dumpers also boast other time-tested safety features, such as the hydrostatic drive, wear-free spring-loaded parking brake as well as the operation via joystick, which guarantees the operator always keeps a hand on the steering wheel.
The good news is that the dual view models will also be available with a cab, making them ideal for Scottish weather conditions and further improving their safety. A protective grating on the bucket protects the operator and cab from falling material. The cabs also include optional air conditioning.
Wacker Neuson claim that the new dual view dumpers are more manoeuvrable on rough ground than conventional dumpers as a result of their articulated pendulum joint. Under full load the dumper will always remain in contact with the ground and will retain traction on rough terrain. With variable 180 degree tilting, a flexible swivel tip skip ensures material can be accurately distributed.
Expected to hit the market sometime during next year, we cannot wait to introduce you to the new DV60, DV90 and DV100 Dual View Dumpers! We reckon these will be a hit with our safety-first Scottish construction customers. Watch this space for further updates.
