Our Story

Hamilton Ross Group has announced a leadership transition that will take effect from 1 March 2026

Eric Gardiner will move into the role of Chairman of the Group, with Jamie Gardiner appointed as Managing Director. In addition, Michael Warden will take on the role of Group Operations Manager, reflecting the continued growth and increasing scale of the business.

Having traded for more than 93 years, Hamilton Ross Group remains a family-led organisation. This transition represents a planned and natural progression for the third generation of our family within the business. As Chairman, Eric will focus on governance, long-term strategy, and key supplier relationships, while Jamie assumes full day-to-day leadership of the Group’s operations, commercial direction, and ongoing development.

Jamie has grown up within the business and has worked full-time in the company for the past seven years, building experience across the organisation and working closely with staff, customers, and manufacturing partners.

Michael’s appointment further strengthens operational leadership across all depots, with a clear focus on consistency, efficiency and maintaining the service standards customers rely on.

This transition does not signal a change in direction. Hamilton Ross Group remains firmly committed to:

  • Supporting its teams
  • Running a dependable, well-managed business built for the long term
