Trainee Construction Sales
Are you eager to build a rewarding career in the construction equipment industry? We are a leading authorised Wacker Neuson Dealer – one of the world’s most respected compact and midi plant brands – and we are looking for a driven, enthusiastic individual to join our sales team and grow with us.
No sales experience is required. The right attitude, a genuine interest in construction machinery, and a willingness to learn will take you far. Full product and sales training is provided, including direct support from Wacker Neuson factory specialists.

Requirements
The Role – What You Will Do
- Identify and research prospective customers including groundworks contractors, civil engineers, plant hire companies, utilities firms, landscapers, builders, local authorities, etc
- Conduct regular planned and prospecting visits across your designated territory, building a strong pipeline of new and repeat business
- Qualify customer requirements – understanding project timescales, machine specifications, budgets, and buying processes
- Carry out product demonstrations on-site and at our depot, with support from a senior sales colleague where required
- Develop and grow a portfolio of loyal customers through excellent after-sales follow-up and relationship management
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, visits and opportunities using our CRM system
- Complete a structured product training programme on the full Wacker Neuson range, becoming a credible technical resource for customers
- Attend dealer days, product launches, shows and industry events to develop product knowledge and expand your network
Who We Are Looking For
- A genuine interest in construction plant & machinery
- A natural ability to build rapport quickly and communicate confidently with business owners, directors, contractors, site managers and operators
- Self-motivation and the drive to work independently on the road and manage your own diary effectively
- A positive attitude toward learning = this is a trainee role and all product and sales training is provided
- Full UK driving licence (required for field visits and machine demonstrations)
- Basic IT literacy for CRM, email and call reporting
- Previous experience in a trade, construction, plant hire, or any customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential
