Parts Advisor

The Hamilton Ross Group is a leading supplier to the agricultural and rural sectors, providing machinery, parts and support services to our customers. We pride ourselves on our customer service, product knowledge and long-term relationships with farmers, contractors and rural businesses.

We are looking for a Parts Advisor to join our team. This is a customer-facing role where you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing and supplying parts for agricultural machinery and related equipment. You’ll work closely with our service department and directly with customers to ensure they get the right parts, first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve customers at the parts counter, by phone and via email in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Identify and source parts using catalogues, manufacturer systems and internal databases.
  • Prepare quotations, process orders and take payments accurately.
  • Liaise with the workshop/service team to ensure timely supply of parts for repairs.
  • Assist with stock control: booking in deliveries, stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Help with merchandising and presentation of the parts store and displays.
  • Develop and maintain good product knowledge and awareness of promotions and new lines.

Requirements

About You

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a parts, stores, trade counter or similar customer service role.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, approachable manner.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in ordering and paperwork.
  • Confident with IT systems email, order processing, manufacturer catalogues, MS Office etc.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience within the agricultural, plant, automotive or machinery sector.
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery, equipment and components.
  • Full UK driving licence.
