Precision equipment lets you place seed, fertiliser and chemical exactly where it is needed, drive accurate lines without operator fatigue and record what was applied to every field. On most farms the return comes from reduced overlap, lower input use and better records rather than from any single feature.
PTx Trimble is the joint venture between AGCO and Trimble, formed in April 2024, and it is the platform behind precision on Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra machines. It sits under AGCO’s wider PTx banner alongside Precision Planting. It is deliberately mixed fleet, so the same guidance and steering technology can be retrofitted to machines of other makes and ages rather than only to new tractors.
In practice that means displays, GNSS receivers, correction services, assisted and full autosteer, implement steering, and flow and application control. Which combination you need depends on the machines you run and the jobs you do, so it is worth a conversation rather than a shopping list.
Accuracy is the decision that drives the cost, and it is worth getting right rather than buying the top tier by default. The correction signal your receiver uses sets how repeatable your lines are.

Each AGCO brand has its own terminal and control layout, and features can often be unlocked on a machine you already own rather than requiring new hardware. If you are specifying a new machine, talk to us about the precision options before you order rather than after. If you already have the machine, ask us what it is capable of, because a lot of kit in the field is running with features switched off.
Most precision problems are setup problems: implement geometry, correction signal, field boundaries or calibration. We commission new equipment, configure it for your implements and fields, move kit between machines, and sort it out when something has drifted. That local support is the difference between kit that earns its keep and kit that sits switched off.
Displays and receivers need firmware updates and, for some features, a licence activation. We can handle updates, activations and renewals so you are not working out which file goes on which stick in the middle of drilling.
The biggest single gain on most farms is an operator who is confident with the system in front of them. We can run through setup and day to day operation with your staff, on farm or at a depot. Ask your depot to arrange it.
Telematics puts machine location, hours, fuel use, workrates and fault codes in front of you without walking the yard. With your permission it also lets us see a fault code remotely, which often means arriving with the right part instead of arriving to diagnose.

Records tractor activity and GPS movements with real time and historical data, geofencing and maintenance planning, and can be shared with your service partner. New Valtra machines come with a five year Connect subscription at no charge, standard across the N, T and S Series and G Series Versu.
For the construction side of the yard, JCB LiveLink monitors machine health, location, security and utilisation on JCB machines, with service alerts, geofencing and an operator app for digital pre start checks. Almost every JCB machine is fitted with a LiveLink unit as standard, with subscription terms available from your depot.
Switching on telematics can reduce the cost of an AGCO maintenance contract, because we can see machine hours and condition rather than guessing at them. If you are pricing a service plan, ask about the two together rather than separately.
Machine data belongs to you. Dealer access is something you switch on because it is useful, not a condition of owning the machine, and you can tell us exactly what you are happy for us to see. If remote support would save you a wasted visit, we will explain what we would need and let you decide.
A fault code read remotely means our engineer can arrive with the right part rather than diagnose on one trip and return on another.
